HKBU welcomes new colleagues at Orientation Day

As the new academic year approaches, the Human Resources Office organised the annual “Orientation Day for New Academic, Teaching and Administrative Staff” on 20 August to help more than 60 new staff embark on their exciting academic and professional journey at the University.

Professor Alex Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor; Professor Martin Wong, Provost; Professor Lyu Aiping, Vice-President (Research and Development); Dr Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning); Ms Christine Chow, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary; and Professor Terence Lau, Interim Chief Innovation Officer, shared the University’s strategic directions and latest developments.

To help new staff members integrate into the HKBU community, representatives from the Office of Information Technology and the Office of Institutional Research and Planning shared respectively the latest digital transformation initiatives and covered topics on the University’s strategic direction and performance reporting.
