Weir Baptist Camp is composed of 67.7 acres.  It is reclaimed mining pits restored to a beautiful campground.  Dreams for WBC began in 1957 and the first camp was held in 1962.  Girls camp registered 34 and Boys Camp registered 31.  In 1992 Senator Bob Dole helped WBC receive $75,000 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to clean up the mine dumps and pits.  From 1994 to 2004 there have been 3,217 campers registered at WBC.  Over 163 children have made professions of faith in Christ.  Over 80 have made rededications with 66 other decisions for Christ.

This year, 2009, has brought many new changes to Weir Baptist Camp.  We are building our first new cabin in over 20 years!  It should be completed by fall.  Our summer camping program brought changes to lives too.  There were 335 campers that came through our six camping sessions.  We had 97 sponsors, 72 staff, 10 youth workers, 41 youth mission team members, and 5 other helpers that spent special moments at camp.  There were 93 decisions for Christ which includes 34 people who received Christ as their Savior!  Forty-four campers rededicated their lives to Christ from this point onward.  God is working in hearts and we get to be a part of that change by serving and sharing with the ministry of Weir Baptist Camp.  Our offering totals were $ 1,166.56 which will be used for more improvements at camp.
